Olio Calvi is a small mill and farm, located in Imperia on the Ligurian coast and is considered one of the top producers of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the region. The Lucinasco Riviera Ligure DOP selection uses only hand-picked Taggiasche olives from the small village of Lucinasco, expertly crushed and cold extracted with natural decantation. This high-quality EVO oil has a delicate aroma and a sweet taste, perfect for dressing raw meat, fish, and vegetables, as well as substituting butter in pasta.
Lucinasco, located on top of a hill at about 500 m above sea level, is one of the most beautiful villages in the Oneglia Valley. Its olive groves, which lie below the village, are composed exclusively of olive trees of Taggiasca variety and are renowned for the particularly happy exposure. They produce olives with a lower yield than other localities in the valley, but the quality of their extra virgin is excellent.
Our selection of Riviera Ligure DOP is precisely obtained from olives coming from olive groves in Lucinasco, which are milled to perfection in our oil mill.
The extra virgin Riviera Ligure dop was recognized as the best Riviera Ligure dop of the 2022-2023 vintage by the "Eccellenze Olearie di Liguria" competition held in Sestri Levante in May 2023 and by the "Masters of Olive Oil" competition held in Montecarlo in June 2023
